Installing And Sealing Pavers Is Easy

Installing pavers around your house might seem like a quick fix and sound like it will be much easier than having that big old cement truck come and pour you a concrete pad. This would be your first mistake if you are not to complete the project the way it should be done. Taking your time and making sure that everything is level and placed exactly where you want it is the key, along with applying a brick paver sealer to the finished paver project. Sealing a patio, walkway or driveway is not that different than sealing your deck. Making sure that the surface is prepped properly before starting. If you have not immediately applied the paver sealer then you may need to clean up the area from mildew, mold or algae. Sometimes weeds start to grow up also . Pressure washing the pavers and removing all dirt and debris should set up a good surface to apply the sealer to. If your pavers have settled a little since you installed them, then you may need to re-grout between the joints of the stones with some fresh sand. This step is not hard, but may be time consuming to make sure that everything is in place and even like it was when they were first installed. Choosing a proper sealer may be the hardest part of the entire project, since there are so many to choose from. High gloss, semi-gloss or a matte finish are all things to consider, once that is done applying the sealer with a pump up sprayer is easy and usually two coats will be required. Maintaining your pavers will be much easier and time and money will be saved after you have properly sealed them.
