MAKING A SIMPLE QUILT
When a quilter sits down and decides to create a quilt, it’s often the case that the creation of such a quilt will be quite a journey as the first inception of the quilt will sometimes be different than the eventual style of the quilt that is created. And some quilts are quite amazing projects that end up offering a quilt that will be remembered for generations, even if it is not an amazingly complex set of quilt fabric and design. Interestingly, the first quilts that people make are often more challenging than they need to be and when making a second quilt, a quilter will often dial back on the complexity to make a more solid, less complex quilt.
Designing a quilt can be one of the most fun parts of the process since there are many ways that a person will get into the quilting process and become completely absorbed in the creation of the design itself in the early stages which might mean that actually going to buy quilting materials won’t happen immediately since the creation of the design itself would seem to take so long that it might end up changing and the if the fabric was bought too soon then it might not end up being used in the final design.
After a particularly challenging quilt, a quilter will often simply revert to a style that is much less filled with complexity, but which might carry just as much meaning as any other quilt that the person has created in the past.
