Wood Garden Arbor

In most parts of the world, garden arbors are used in some sort or another. The garden arbor adds such beauty to a garden, but also, in some cases, raises the price of a home because the home value is a lot about the looks of the yard. If the yard was taken good care of, the home value rises. Obviously it wouldn’t be thousands of dollars, but a few hundred would definitely get the eyebrows raised for just a simple thing such as a garden arbor.

But, the fact is is that the garden arbor is considered a must in several areas of this world. Merely for the look and products used to make the garden arbor. In China, bamboo is the main event; India, the Aini or Babul trees that make the best arbors. But, over in America, we use so many different types of wood. Maple, oak, ash, pine etc. All of these which can be used for a wood garden arbor for a yard in need of beautifying.

Although many arbors are made out of the all to famous wrought iron, the iron isn’t very durable. The wood, however, seems to have more durability and also it seems to make sure the locks are secure and immovable. When the iron is in place, they are soldered together, but it isn’t as stable when something such as heavy plants are hung from it. The advantages to having wood are that they are heavier duty, it promotes “going green” which it is better for the earth, it will be able to stay where it’s placed a lot better than iron, it won’t rust, it can withstand rough weather and last for years. Wood (no matter which kind of wood) is the best building material for your garden arbors when it comes down to durability and quality.
