Generally, adoption for single women will involve an agency or will be private. An agency adoption is carried out through a licensed agent while a private one is arranged through a physician and an attorney, or other private individuals.It is important to note that not all agencies accept to arrange adoptions for single women, so you will have to call until you get one. You will also need to determine the health status of the child and the age that you would prefer.Adoptions can also be termed as open or closed. In open adoption, the adopting single woman and the birth parents of the child will share all identifying information. On the Other hand, in a closed adoption, the last names and other identifying information of the birth parents are not known though the first names and some personal information may be shared.
